Why don't you have Beef kibble?Updated a year ago
At our mill, we make both pet food and feed for certain livestock animals like horses. However, cows, sheep, goats and other ruminant animals have very specialized digestive systems that are different from horses and pets.
To keep everything safe and avoid any potential issues, we've decided not to bring any ingredients from ruminant animals like cows into our plant. So while we do make dog foods with proteins like chicken, pork and fish, we don't make any dog foods that contain beef or other ruminant meats.
This is because we also make horse feed at this same plant. Since horses and ruminants can't eat the same types of feed, we've chosen to keep our plant completely ruminant-free as a precaution. That way, there's no risk of cross-contamination between the pet foods and livestock feeds we produce here.
Freeze-Dried Beef
Our freeze-dried plant does not have this limitation. If you're interested in beef dog food for your dog, please shop our freeze-dried line. We offer Complete and Balanced Beef Bites which can replace or supplement kibble. You'll also find meal toppers or mixers and beef liver and beef meatballs which are high-value rewards and great for enrichment.
